Miles has extensive experience in oil and gas field appraisal, development planning, project delivery and production optimisation. After joining BP in 1988, He held a range of technical Petroleum and Reservoir Engineering roles in the UK, Abu Dhabi and Venezuela before progressing to leadership positions in Kuwait, London and Algeria. His technical experience includes conventional oil and gas, unconventional gas and both offshore and onshore operating environments.
Miles joined BP’s Reservoir Development leadership team in 2010 underpinning global production and mature field development. As VP Reservoir Management he strengthened technical assurance and risk management, development planning and resource progression. In his final position at BP, he established Tight Gas appraisal projects in Oman, the UK and Algeria.
Miles has supported field access throughout his career. This coupled with his experience of appraisal, development planning and project delivery across multiple fiscal regimes makes him well placed to identify high value investment opportunities and work with field partners to ensure they are delivered. After leaving BP in 2015, he established a consultancy and advises on oil and gas field developments.
