Osman adds to First Alpha Energy’s private equity expertise from sourcing and executing to post-investment management and monitoring, honed over 13 years in private equity and the 12 investments he led and managed during that time. His 23 years of transactional experience includes 10 years as an investment banker on Wall Street. Prior to joining First Alpha Energy at inception, Osman worked at Mubadala Infrastructure Partners Limited, an infrastructure-focused private equity firm jointly owned by Mubadala, GE, and Credit Suisse. Over his nine years there as a founding member and senior investment professional, he sourced investments, led their execution, and served on the boards of MIP’s portfolio companies with post-investment responsibility. He is now a member of MIP’s Operating Board. Before MIP, Osman was the Head of the Industrials Vertical at Istithmar, Dubai Government’s investment company, where he led landmark investments for the region, including leveraged buyouts, structured equity investments, and multibillion-dollar acquisitions and financings. Osman’s private equity career started at Emerging Markets Partnership where he was responsible for IDB Infrastructure Fund’s power investments. Preceding his 13 years in private equity, Osman worked for 10 years as an investment banker, mostly at Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank, where he specialized in U.S. power and utilities M&A, and corporate and project finance. Osman received his M.A. from Columbia University and B.A. from Lafayette College.
